Lo Studio Meesters & Van der Park trova ispirazione nella fusione di natura e tecnica per questo progetto molto particolare chiamato Green Oasis: una casa estiva a forma di escavatore, completamente rivestitio da piante rampicanti. L'opera diventa occasione di riflessione sia sul continuo processo di demolizione e ricostruzione che avviene nelle nostre città, che sulla posizione subordinata che la natura ha all'interno di tale processo.
Il concetto alla base di Green Oasis è la fusione di tecnica e natura:mentre la forma dell'escavatore incarna tecnica,le piante lasciate arrampicare liberamente dovrebbero rappresentare le forze naturali. Il risultato è un'oasi di verde in cui ritrovare pace e tranquillitàall'internodell'ambiente urbano. La casa offre posti a sedereper quattro persone.L'oggetto è interamente realizzato inacciaio tagliato al laser prodotto da Phoenix Metaalwarenfabriek / Design studio Meesters & Van der Park seeks inspiration from nature and technique resulting in Green Oasis, a summer house in the shape of an excavator, covered with climbing plants.’The city changes through a continuous process of demolition and rebuilding. Nature comes second almost every time.’ With Green Oasis, Meesters & Van der Park re-introduces nature to the city in a functional way. For the design, the agency was inspired by technique as well as nature: the shape of the excavator embodies technique, while the growing climbing plants represent the force ofnature. The result is a summer house in the shape of a life-sized excavator, covered with green climbing plants. It is literally a green oasis for those much needed moments of peace and quiet in an urban public environment. The summer house offers seating to four people. The object is entirely made of laser cutted steel and produced by Phoenix Metaalwarenfabriek
